Schools are not factories and we don’t believe in mass production. Our Founder- Beloved Aunty Isaac- often reminded us that our School is a garden and each child a unique flower. Some need shade, some the sunlight, others needed shelter while others needed to run free.
Modern English Academy treats each child as an individual and recognises their uniqueness. Teachers take individual care of each child. In the initial years, “mother” teachers create a nurturing yet disciplined classroom where the foundation is built. In the Middle School, the trajectory changes and teachers create the space for learning and thinking independently which is reinforced by self-discipline. In Senior School, students learn by questioning, analysing and thinking critically. Discipline remains the bedrock of the learning environment. Beyond the classroom, students are given ample avenues to participate in public speaking, community service, art and cultural activities and explore and discover their unique talents and interests.
It gives us immense pride when our little “buds” bloom into admirable young adults who are independent, thinking individuals who contribute to the community and country in responsible roles all over the globe!
